Default Good Deal On Body Work

I work with a body shop and I was talking to one of the guys about getting some stuff doen to my car. Holes for the emblems shaved (welded over), moldings shaved and fixing my honda rot on my rear quater panels. Then repainting my whole exterior.

He said about $1266.94. What do you guys think? By the way I converted it to Us dollars it $2000CND.

Make sure they're welding metal into the molding channels, and not just slapping Bondo and fiberglass over them. Other than that, $1200 is less than most quality paintjobs cost, without body work.

That sounds like a good deal. How many coats of paint is he applying to the car?

I talked to the guys and they won't do a color change for me so what I'm going to do is have them do all my work and then block sand, seal and block sand the car again then prime it up. I'll then find another place to do the paint for me. In total I figure around $5000 total Canadian.

Also would cutting out the rust and welding in a new plate of metal be the best way to eliminate rust on my quater panels

This is the most effective way to eliminate rust. Just make sure you prime the back and front side with self etching primer. Or you can do it ghetto style and just slap some bondo over it.:nono:
