From your old motor? what kind of swap did you do? I'm thinking coil.

the b16 distrib internals are the same as the d15. the only differences are the mounting points. my old distrib worked fine, so i swapped the coil, rotor, and cap.

the timing wont make the spark weak.

sounds stupid... but.. make sure you have your wires in the right order.. I made that mistake and it f'd me all up.

You need 4 things to make your engine run: air, fuel, compression and spark.

Make sure you're getting all of those and you'll be good to go.
Start with the most ridiculously simple things and go from there. That's what I learned with my swap... hope it helps.

Silly thing to check: Check your ground wire, make sure your ground wire is secure to the block and the chasis. My friends swap did the same thing, everything checked out, and then we realized we forgot the ground wire.

If you're getting fuel, and your starter is turning, then check all your iginition junk. (which it sounds like you're already doing.)

yup.. all good tips....
double checked the grounds: all good
fuel: goes all the way to the injectors
ecu: tried both my old and new
plug wires: 1-3-4-2 rite? starting from the bottom/left
i just bought the battery a week ago, should have enough juice...
the spark is orange.... could it be the altenator? ima clean all the power/battery/alt leads tomms....

No, but no air won't get in there. Ever tried starting a fire with flint and steel? It won't start unless you blow on it. Also, if you're intake cam is off, you're dist. timing will be off resulting in weak spark. Just check it.

What B16A's dist.internals are the same as a D15's? I just went out to my garage and I have a dist. from a JDM D15B and a dist from a 1st gen B16A and they are totally different. There is your problem. Who the hell told you that anyways? And if we are talking about an SIR II B16A then I can definately tell you they are even more different. I mean yes they all have a an ICM, coil, rotor, etc. But in no way are they the same.
