You would think - but judging by this thread, apparently that is not the case.

I went 247miles and filled it 10 gallons, the pump stops itself at 9.5. 24.7 MPG best yet .

just got back from the station...filled it up at 11.00 gallons, and i was on dead empty...my car took about a minute to start./

Uhhh - by dead empty, do you mean you actually ran out of gas? Or the needle was on "E"? I have driven my wife'e Ex until the needle was well below E.

guess you didnt read......it took a minute for the car to start..literally a minute...i had to stop a couple times are crank it up again...and nothing...then it finally turned on. my shiit has been on E for about 2 days.

I read just fine - you never said the car stopped, just that you had trouble starting. My 240sx occasionally has hard starts when it has plenty of gas.

It shouldn't have takan that long to start your car - the fuel system should instantly pressurize when you turn the key on. Maybe your fuel filter is clogged - that happens when you keep driving the car on fumes.

why are you acting like you know how my car is when its out of gas...i dont even need to look at the needle when its time for a fill up....trust me my car was out of gas.

my dx is supposedly 11 gallons, but htat doesnt take into account the tube that heads up to the body, i gotta figure theres at least a 1/4-1/2 gallon in there.
