it's the piece that dangles off a key ring that is not a key. I'm going to guess that he's reffering to a key fob for keyless entry. In which case you might find a working used on on ebay, you could also try majestic http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/home.htm

as to the op's question
i picked one up off of ebay and its worked great for me, just match the part number so you get the correct one, there are a handful that all look the same but dont work for the same cars
handa automotive has the part # and install and programming instructions, check that website for the info and browse ebay for a used one and you are set
