Default Help Changing starter on 97?

I posted my issue here: https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...d.php?t=282780

so I am guessing its the starter. I have a 97, will a 01 starter fit? Also how hard is it, looks like I have to remove some of the air filter, two harnesses & two bolts, is there anything underneath to get to? In other words do I need to jack it up or can I do it from above? Thx

A 2001 starter will not fit. Use a starter designed for your engine. The removal and installation is cake, you basically covered everything on the removal. Just make sure you disconnect the battery before everything.

Thanks joe, one more thing, can I just pull those things/harnesses off the starter or are any attached by bolt, squeeze clip or anything else?
Thanks again bro

The power cable is fastened to the starter via a nut and I'm pretty sure there is a harness connector also that is just a squeeze connector.
