Redcivic, just out of curiosity, what swap do you have in your civic and what mods do you have. (Internals, FI)?

Yeah, Kevin, I'd like to hear your input. There is always room for discussion.

I have an SIR II B16A, crower cams, crower rods, arp bolts, Greddy T3 turbo, tial wastegate, Greddy BOV, custom turbo piping and manifold, apexi intercooler, Bosch pump, vortech FMU, AEM fuel rail, denso plugs, blitz single solenoid BC, JG cam gears, thermal R&D cat back, Fluidyne radiator, goodrich lines and fittings, Eibach pro-kit, 16x7 Enkie RS5's, Euro T/A BFG's, WW RS series lip, um.. **** I know I have forgotten something. Oh, and manifold coming up. Just not sure which one yet and I desperately need some injectors and dyno time to see the real results. I had a Greddy SI kit but then I met the guy who sold me the custom kit for $3,000.00 and I sold the brand new greddy kit to friend.

You mean like Home Depot do-it-yourself ball-and-spring boost controlers? I think they're off topic

yah ur a smart guy lol, other then the upgraded intake manifold, pistons, rings, retainers, rods, crank, tranny, and numerous other titanium parts and performance things in it lol.. b16 head on a b18 block is a descent conversion but u better upgrade rods. The stroke on that b18b is longer then that of both b18c and b16 engines, thats how it makes so much torque. The piston is not bigger lol. DO not say b18c with b16 head is poor mans type R cause it in NO way makes 195hp or anywhere near 143lbs torque. just go buy an LS motor, get some titanium rods any aftermarket will do. easiest and cheapest head u will find will be a b16a3, also u will need the intake manifold off a b series vtec engine, fuel injectors, ecu, fuel rail oil pressure kit and a mechanic willing to do the job... have a nice day and happy posting....

PS: the reason I say u should upgrade rods is because the vtec engines rev higher then the normal LS engine. Those rods and crank are MEANT to rev to 6750 like the stock specs say. U go revving around 8250rpms and ur bound ta snap a rod sometime, been there seen it done before and would love to say told em so but im not that mean.... :-D

OMG, lol yah but the stock crank on an ls can only handle like 250-300hp and thats pushing it. LOL 87mm 260hp, UR OFF UR ****IN ROCKER PAL. b16 resleeved new pistons, rods, rings bored out to 88 milimeter produces about 216hp. How do I know? My shop did it. would love to see someone bolt a turbo up to 88mm cylinders, u better have a hell of a fuel management system, ignition system, hondata stage 3, jesus i dont even wanna name the rest not to mention that the compression in the engine would be way too high....

Hey smoovsol.... what's with all the talk of LS B18A/B blocks? We are talking about a straight B16A-B18C block swap, not a B16A-B18A/B LS/VTEC hybrid swap
