umm, why?
I thought to make it more sport-like, like change tone of the engine. My friend has changed some air filter in his Maxima and it sound really nice. So i thought to do something like he did.

If that sound is what you're going for then by all means, enjoy. I do suggest you get a short ram instead though. A CAI usually hangs low enough that going through a large puddle will run the risk of sucking water into the engine with ugly results.

As for performance, don't expect a gain. Horsepower TV did I/H/E on a D15B7(?) and gained a whopping 9hp. Even if it could gain 15hp on a Y8 that's still not enough to make the car noticeably faster.

:bs: Post the dyno graphs to prove this or shut-up coz your a flat out lier! There would have to be more than that done to gain "average of 15hp".

There are some EBAY things that are trash, but there are a lot of good things on there too, just be sure not to choose the cheapest stuff.

Plus as long as you're not talking about some electric turbo that only lasts a couple days. Most stuff should be ok. I got my Angel eyes and tail lights on ebay, all they needed was some sealing up work, and they were all good, no problems and work great.

i didnt say that headers and full exhaust will add as much hp as turbo, it will be more than 4 thats for sure, again depends on the what piping and exhaust you put in. i know some guys who did the i/h/e and gained an average of 15 hp on their motors.
So you're saying the bigger diameter the piping is the more power you get?

I bet all you know is what you hear and you can't back anything up with legit information. kthanxbi.

If you want more noise, remove your intake resontor... problem solved.

If you're after more power, do a lot of research, then decide what you want to do.
