Default Wheel Bearings going ftl

I did a search on wheel bearings but didn't find the questions I have answered.

When I'm on a curvy road turning left, the right side of the car makes that bearings-going-out sound but not when I turn right. So... It's either the front right or the back right.

1) Do I need to take my car to a shop due to any tools needed the weekend warrior might not have? I did the ones on my 67 Camaro back-in-the-day. I don't know how different they are from Hondas.

2) I would like to go OEM. Autozone sells them for about $92 for the rears. Who should I go with? I don't wanna pay stealership prices.

3) Should I change all 4 now that I know at least one side is bad?

Thanks to all in advance

when I did mine, I did all four just to get them out of the way, especially since it was fairly high miles. I would say pretty much any jackhole can do wheel bearings.

Thanks, Lee. Car has 206,000. Might as well change them all.

The inner race of the front bearings usually come off with the hub. You'll want to grind some notches in the inner race so you can get a wheel puller on there. That's just something I ran into and you probably will as well.

I used a press. Like this http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1567042 I remember running across a DIY where someone replaced his with a slide hammer and some fittings he borrowed from autozone. I just can't seem to find it again. It was some kind of kit for wheel bearing replacement. He didn't even take the knuckle off.

I'd just change the one making the noise, the rest are likely to last for the life of the car.

It's been my experience that when one bearing goes, the others aren't far behind. Chef I just noticed you were asking about OEM bearings. OEM bearings were made by NTN. Some brands may just be NTN bearings in their own brand label box. That was the case for me, I just don't remember which brand it was.
