Default 1995 Honda Civic LX Exhaust system

Hi.
Have a bad muffler.
Meineke wants too much to replace ~$200......... so I thought I would do it myself!
Checked online and see different mufflers but is confusing because some have the muffler and next pipe up as 1 unit, and another site showed picture with similar end piece (type that connects with spring bolts), but turns out that does not include this connecting piece! ......Anyways.......... looks like need a heat shield too, but am having a hard time finding that part. Also, presume I need some kind of gasket, but not able to find that part either! Any possibility that heat shield and gasket will work from old exhaust?
Thx.
Bob

If you just need the rear muffler, then you just need the rear muffler and spring bolt kits. The donut gasket will be stuck to the end of the resonator pipe. It's a hard gasket that is reusable in most cases if you leave it on there.

You can look up your parts on hondaautomotiveparts dot com (Majestic) and either order from them for OEM stuff, or get something like a Bosal from Autozone, etc. I don't use the heat shields and I use Bosal for the center and rear exhaust (lifetime an inexpensive).
