clutch goin? reverse clunk? and noisy 1st gear
This is more so for my girl's civic, not mine.
1. Her clutch doesn't slip at high rpms like mine did when it was going out, but the release point is waaaay up there - you hardly have to press the clutch in to engage.
Does this mean that the clutch is on its way out too? Just at an earlier stage than mine was at when I swapped it?
2. Really noisy first gear you can hear the whine. Will replace trans fluid with clutch (its never been changed at 200K), hoping not to have to do trans b/c will replace this car in a year or two.
3. Occasional clunk clunk clunk upon reverse? Axles, CVs are all ok, checked those.
Thanks
