sorry but i didn it and i think i'm regreting it all ready i only did behing the seats in my del sol it look good but i think i needed to find a better paint because the dupicolor viynal i used is chipping off. one like bump aganist it and bam !!! it's chipped i think i need to start from the beginging and re paint the white parts. it really pissed me off when the littlest bump chipped it. Should i have used a different type of panit on the hard plastic or did i do it right. I need help!

my steps were this happen over like 2 or 3 days
1 washed everthing with soap and water
2 dryed everything really good
3 painted thin coats 4 to 5 till it looked good
4 waited till everything dryed
5 clear coated everthing 2 to 3 layers
6 put them in the car

 

I'm not sure the paint is the problem. Did you ever use any armor all or anything like that in the past? If so, you need to make sure you clean it off really good. A light soaping and wash may not remove it all. On top of that, I would of used some sort of primer. You're problem sounds like the paint didn't bond to anything so it's just sitting on top of the plastic. Go back and read that other thread to see if you can get any ideas on prepping the plastic and priming before painting. If the instructions aren't clear enough, Google it. Honda owners aren't the only ones that have painted interior before so I'm sure there's a crap load of write ups about it out there.

 

listen buddy, you cant paint ANYTHING and expect it to look good w/out priming it first.
