Default automatic shifter getting stuck

My automatic is having trouble getting out of park. I don't abuse it at all. It has been progressively getting worse. Any ideas on what could be wrong, and how to fix it? thanks

Check you brake lights when this happens. More than likely it is you brake switch failing and or getting stuck off.

Does the button you push to take it out of park appear to be working normally?

I mean, does it have the same resistance, etc.

Just throwing it out there as another possible cause, though I've never heard of that failing on a honda.

The break lights are fine too I checked them earlier. I did some research and found out two things that are likely to go wrong. One is the shifter solenoid, but I don't think that is the problem because I noticed it shifts bad not only out of park but also into park and between reverse and drive sometimes. Another thing is the shifter cable, which seems more likely. Does anyone know where the shifter cable is? I took off the plastic around the shifter, but can't find it.

low fluid will cause hard shifting/late shifting when switching to drive.

Default Thanks for all the input!

So for like 3 days I could barely move it, and then it went back to normal, and its been fine since. I'm going to wait until it gets bad again to get it fixed.
