Default Front license plates screw threads stripped

my Front license plates screw threads are stripped & i can't mount the front plates on with screws.

I know from my previous 92 Si, that there is a front plate bracket that can be mounted onto the front bumper.

Right now, my car lacks that bracket & only has those 4 screw holes which are all stripped by the previous owner.

Any suggestion..cause w/ the snipe going around, I don't want to be too much of a troublemaker right now.

Thanks for any suggestions.

you can replace them. The things that your screws go into can be pryed off from the back. You'll have to remove your bumper. I know because I had to pry mine off when I shaved my license plate holes. Im assuming that honda sells those. Whatever the hell they're called.

I had this problem about 3 months ago when I had to put new plates on my Mom's Integra. The back brackets on the bumper broke, and the screws wouldn't come out. Basically, what I did was take the bumper off, allowing me to access the back of the bolts. I fought with the a little bit and finally got the remnants of the bracket off, and got the bolts out. At that point, since the brackets were gone, I had to devise a way to put the new bolts back in. Basically, all I did was get a new bolt, and new nut, and 2 washers. I put the bolt and one washer on one side of the bumper (along with the new plate) and then the nut and the other washer on the back side. It worked out perfectly. It was a major pain in the ass (considering initially I thought I was just gonna change a licence plate), but it worked out perfect.

Bad thing is, you'll probably half to buy the whole front bumper for two threaded plate-thinghys! Honda can sizzle my dizzle.

It "the new Si Blue".
I'm not experience w/ the differing shades of Honda blues.

Not sure if that's eternal or electron or something else. What do you think>? Circa 99 Si Blue?
