Oil Cooler...
As people said the engine is supposed to be warm. If it wasn't warm then the car wouldn't be performing right. A warm engine is more efficient than a cold engine. My engine is hot to the touch (actually I don't think I can touch the engine). The needle is not supposed to go over 1/2 way on your gauges. But to get a more accurate reading you need an exhaust temp gauge from Autometer or another company.

i considered an egt gauge as i HEAR they are the most accurate for determining that the engine is not running wrong, BUT my question is how do i know what standard heat range is for my application..? like how do i read the gauge? it has numbers right?does a nitrous motor for example run hotter than a stock N/A motor? or does it all equal out.. any info on this would be greatly appreciated
If your so concerned about your car overheating or getting too hot, then just invest in a larger radiator. Cooling the oil down a little is not going to prevent the car from overheating. I would suggest a bigger radiator:thumbup:

I know what you guys mean.....the only think I'm worried about is that my old SOHC motor got really hot to touch where I couldn't touch it but I would not fee the heat when I opened my hood, now my DOHC gets really got to touch where my hood is too hot to touch and you just feel lots of heat when you open my hood, and like I said my temp guage is right dead center 1/2......I just thought an oil cooler would help a lil to keep my internals safe when my oil gets really thing due to the heat...you know??
