Default DRL Light and Handbrake light on

Firstly, I used the search button!!

I bought this 03 civic LX but the handbrake light and DRL light are always on. I checked the brake fluid and it was in the middle, I disconnected the cable from the fluid tank hoping the brake light would turn off, but no success. I dont know if the 2 are connected somehow, because I think the DRL only turns on when the handbrake light turns off.. maybe?

Even when the car is off?

The brake light is controlled by two things the senser in the brake fluid reservoir and the switch on the hand brake. Disconnect both and see what happens.

I know nothing about drl are you in Canada?
