How much weight can you shed off with a CF hood? 10lbs?

I had a ViS CF hood on my old DC4...lined up fine. I'd recommend having a body shop put about 2-3 coats of a High Solids clear coat over the factory gel coating they come with. That'll add a few years of protection to the hood.

im all about OEM. some cars look goos with Carbon Fiberhoods like white EG's but they dont save too much weight and theres no purpose besides look.

Well the scratch is real big the paint just peeled off, and its splitting with rust at the bottom. It also has a few little imperfections. It is pretty bad. My car is black btw, so I feel like CF might match OK. I really don't care about the weight, but I don't want to buy something that will look like crap after a year.
