Default Tach Problem!!! Please Help!!!

Hello, I have a 1998 integra gsr and I picked up a 96 Civic DX last month and since it didn't come with a tach I went ahead and ordered a EX gauge cluster. I took out the DX cluster yesterday and replaced it with the EX cluster. Everything was running fine until I noticed that whenever I turned on the high beam, the tach would not work and the usual blue high beam light on the cluster would not light up but the left turn signal would light up. Also whenever I turn on my left blinker, the tach needle would bounce from 0 to however high the engine was running. And also the temperature gauge does not want to work. I tried to unplug and reinstall the cluster but that didn't help at all, please help!!!

civic DX don't have tachometer in the instrument cluster i believe. the ex and si trim does. Dx has speedometer in the center, gas gauge on left and temp gauge on right

Yeah that's exactly right. The DX models didn't come with a tachometer since it was designed to be a commuter car. But anyways, does anyone have any idea? I know that it might be because the cluster has a problem itself but is there any other reason why I'm having this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
