Default Help?

Whats wrong with this picture? Just bought a 94 Hatch with CrVtec and Turbo. Dude didn't know WTF he was doin. So I'm pulling the motor apart to fix the rings to find the Cams and caps all Scratched up. So are my caps junk or what? Does anyone have some for sale. Its a 2000 B16 head.

See if you can get the head machined and cleaned up, then rebuild it with fresh EVERYTHING!

sorry to say but that head is most likely junk. you cant buy cam caps from honda. you can try to have that line bored, but for the cost you could probably find another head.

you cannot buy cam caps from honda. you have to buy the entire head. each set is matched to the head which makes putting caps from a different engine into yours very hard.

Can they be polished out?? Enough to get them smooth again?Just forget about the deep scratches

So I would probably screw up some new cams like that. Is there a limit to repair on these?

Dude from the look of the pics the head just looks like normal wear. What I would do is, Try to polish it up as good as you can. Or machine it. But as long as you can polish it up and have it nice and smooth you will not have any issues. I have done this time and time again. Nothing goes wrong.
