So what do i need to do my car to accomplish this...
im gonna pitch in my 2 cents and say you are doing this for the wrong reasons mate its not about street racing to be able to take out your friend you are gonna have to do a swap more then likely swap internals some blot ons a good boost have your shifting down and do some weight reduction
Do you get we are saying guy?? Just be happy you have a safe and reliable car for now.
Depends on what kind of track you are talking about. There are 4 different tracks:
1) Road course
2) Autocross course
3) Drag track
4) and Rally
At an autocross it's usually the driver's skill which can make you a winner, not how fast the car is. And there's also a handicap system called an RTP index, which evens the playing field so you can see if a Ferrari is really faster than a Civic depending on the class and the RTP index.
At one autocross I beat a Carrera 4 on DOT R tires with over 400hp with my 91 Civic Si on Falken Azenis with 100hp. That course was over 120 seconds long.

There are too many factors to take into consideration. Horsepower is NOT the definitive. I've killed plenty of v6's that had upwards of 100hp on me with my *almost* stock b16. You don't necessarily have to drive a faster car; you have to be a better driver.
and yet another moron has come from the wood work, this thread is like a bright light on a summer night, it just keeps atracting all the annoying little gnats on the site

known 1/4 mile times for many cars http://www.albeedigital.com/supercou...0-60times.html a slow car is slow, the inabilities of the other driver does not make it faster
what's really sad here is we have honda sack riders who don't know anything about making a honda fast arguing with several people who have actually built fast hondas
h:
it also helps when they aren't actually racing you

2) That site is horribly inaccurate. Compare some of those numbers to those done in road tests. Even with those numbers, a GT stang is slower than my car. A slow car is a slow car. The inability of the driver makes it SLOWER.
3) I don't give a damn if you built a honda with a rocket engine strapped to the top, you're an arrogant douchenozzle.
4) What's REALLY sad here is THIS:
Like that's an accomplishment...
I don't doubt you guys have built fast cars. I'm not arguing the point. I'm just saying I've taken cars with significantly more horsepower than my own. If you can't swallow that, go swallow the usual. Once again, horsepower is NOT the definitive.
