I notice ever since i installed my tranny back on, it's leaking fluid. I triend taking back out and inserting it back in. It's still leaking. Does anybody know what it can be? Can I do something to fix it?
Leaking at the axle? There is a seal there and you may have damaged it when putting the axle back on. If that's where it's coming from I would try replacing that seal
how can replace the seal. i've noticed the black seal. if it's damaged how can i take it off. I have my old jdm tranny in the garage with that seal but i really don't know how to exchange it.
remove the axle, pry the old seal out, tap new one it flush, replace axle. just buy a new seal, they're only about 5 bucks and you should not reuse the axle nut so you'll need a new one of those as well.
Yes, there is a crush washer on the drain bolt. It should be replaced anytime the bolt is removed. I believe it is the same size as the one used for the oil pan.
