I dunno, unless you do a really good powder coating, painted rims just never seem to last. Just my opinion though, im sure you could whip up something that last longer then normal paint. I think if you really want to get some color on them, powder coating all the way if your wallet allows.
is that a rip??

Running925...dont be mad.
i got 8 cans of wheel paint made: 4 cans of Championship white, 2 cans of primer, and 2 cans of clear. below are the progress pictures.
the first one is of the wheel primered...
the next two is the wheel after 5 coats of champ white...
and now for 4 coats of clear and the center caps!
