HX wheels = ENKEI wheels????

Well, I picked up a winter project for $100 with tires, unfortunetly the tires were blad and shot. I only had to drive about an hour each way to pick these up. There almost perfect, other that the fact that they were covered in 5 coats of paint!

After I got them I began to strip off the many layers of paint, 5 to be exact: flat black, gun metal, red, white, and the oem painted finish. Below is a pic of what they looked like half way through the strip.

Upon Cleaning the backside of the wheels i noticed that each wheel had an ENKEI logo on the back of a spoke. I thought this was pretty cool, I never knew that honda did this. I was just curious if the wheels were stated to be ENKEIs in the purchase of a brand new Civic HX? picture of logo below:

Below is a picture of the finished product, along with a center cap that I have done. Im still open for opinions, should I paint them championship white, or leave them like an alloy??

Leave them alloy for a while and see how they look, if you don't like them paint them.

pretty cool. I always like those wheels, other than the fact that they're kinda small. what all did you have to do to remove all the paint and get them to look so clean?

I used Industrial Strength Tal-Strip, its about $30 for a gallon size container. You can get it at AutoZone or Advanced Auto Parts. You apply it witrh a nylon paint brush and wait 15-30 mins, then just scrape and hose it off!

ive used that stripper before on some rims before as well but i bought the rattle can stuff much easier, just spray and wait a little while the longer you wait the easier it comes off.

came out good though and you got a good deal on those rims
