Default mirror installation

I dont have the Helms accessible on me at the moment. How do you disassemble the side mirrors for the EG? [92-95 Civic]

For the 99-00 you just pry the mirror off. Use like a screwdriver. Theres a little ball thing in the back that pops into place.

Hey Doood... I know how, it just depends on whether you tell me what mirrors you got

But seriously, you have to pry off the cover (triangle) first. Then depending if you want to or not, you have to take off the entire door panel because it is hard to reach the 3rd bolt (there are 3 holding the mirror and one plastic adapter (power mirror). I took off the panel on one side to access it, and on the other side, I got lazy and squeezed in the wrench.

So that's pretty much it:
1) Triangle Panel
2) 3 Bolts, and the adapter
3) That's it.

Oh, you might want to take off the rubber gromet on the old mirrors and put them on your new set.

Great thanks, I appreciate all the help. I didnt get mirrors, but I might soon depending on the pricing situation on the ones Im looking at. Im actually installing something else that requires me to remove the mirrors.

Collin, just make sure that pry from the bottom first. If you try to pry from the top, you'll most likely break the tabs that hold that triangular piece to the car. Learn from my mistake. It might help if you take off the entire side panel so you could get a better hold of it.
