gas mileage
First of all, what's a "full tank"? You're obviously not running it dry so the 13.2 gallon capacity doesn't matter. How many gallons does it take to fill it up? Divide your 260 or so miles by that number of gallons and you'll have a mpg figure for us to compare with. "Per tank" figures are hard to go by because people fill up at different times.
i ussually get 35 in my 93 ex and that is all city, i deliver pizza in it. when i do get on the high way i can get 40 or better, this civic just seems to get great milage (and i usually granny shift while working, i hate buying gas), i had a 94 ex and it never got this good of mile , like 30 if i was lucky. i don t understand it.
oh and i was also wondering what kind of milage dx's ussualy get?? i have only had ex coupes (save for a dx hatch but i havent even drivin it yet). but i found a great deal on a 98 dx but i dont really want to get it if it isnt going to be close to an ex's milage, since i would also be losing the power options that come with the ex.
By about 260 to 270 my gas light goes off, I know people tell me about the reserve tank and what not, but when i go to pump gas i'm pumping about 12 gallons ( 21 mpg). I'm not getting what i excepted at all, mind you that my car has no special features (i/h/e, vtec, ect...) and it's Auto. help....

Well people rant and rave about how great the "Civic" is, but I have yet to see it. My gas milege sucs, and i feel as if i'm at the gas station every other day. I brought it back to the dealer and they said it was "Normal" , how do I really know what's "normal"?? Anybody have any ideas??

The only problem here is your driving style. You can't slam on the gas right before you're ready to stop at a redlight.

NO!! What do you people think i am?? some Speed Demon looking for a cheap high by beating my car NOT REALLY!! When i'm on the highway i'm crusing all the time, and when i brake...let's just put it this way i don't wait to see brake lights to know when to stop or slow down. My driving method is fine more then fine...I'm not greatist driver nor am i the most reckless . So the whole driving style is not the problem. So how can i bring this to attention how can i get this delt with the right way?? I just want to know if there's something wrong.
P.S. - I'm not on a testosterone trip, i work with estrogen.

I hit 1/2 a tank this morning on the way into work and the trip was at 232. Mixed 50/50 city/highway driving.
Last tank was 412 miles and I put 11.623 gallons in it.
