in my 6th gen DX cluster (no tach), i just installed one 194 bulb and two 24 bulbs. i don't know if the two 24 bulbs are lighting up yet... still daylight and they seemed big when i was putting it in the socket. but i can see the 194 bulb light up. 24's may be too big for this cluster. i might have to get 74's instead (which i can't find any in amber color...)

Turns out that 24, 74, 37, 73, 174 and 194 are all the wrong bulb sizes for a 5th gen DX climate control. Instead, I picked up a couple 12v LEDs from radio shack with a built in resistor to stick in place of the old bulbs; the wires will be dropped down through the dash and tap the power from the cigarette lighter. I can snap a few pics if this is of any interest to anyone.

night time now and i just turned on my lights. i noticed that the temp and speedo gauge faces light up amber but the fuel face does not; it's still the stock color. either i didn't connect it right or there's something else i need to replace.

Sweet post. I have a 93 Civic Si and I hated all the plain clusters we get to pick from. I love the look of the CTR cluster. The one with the yellow needles and carbon fiber bezel. So I am in the process of doing just that. So far I've painted the needles yellow and the CF bezel is going in this week (if it doesnt look good I'll take it out) and the amber lights are going in this week too. How does it look so far...

bought bulbs from http://www.superlumination.com/ 7 #74 and 2 #24

I found a site that lists the bulbs and prices for you to order for replacement.:
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...artsSearch.jsp
It even has exploded views of the dash section.
