Yeah, you would want the axle out of the spline...otherwise you won't be able to get the balljoint in or out.

OK cool, thanks for the help. How hard is it to beat em out and back in? One of those things you'll need a sweatrag and water bottle for?

Schmoo, how do you like your 2.5 carsound hi flow cat? i got one coming and just wondering?

Depends. The first one I did required a ton of whacking and elbow grease, but the second one was very easy. Just make sure you have a large hammer.

It is ok. Nothing to write home about, but it is better than the stock cat on a boosted setup.

The shell I got from the guy in Tallahassee had a custom exhaust put on with 2.5 piping from the header back to the muffler. Took the cat out, put in a straight pipe, and sliced the o2 sensor. I had to get a o2 sensor and I ordered the carsound hi flow the other day so that should get the engine CEL gone. Right now the exhaust sounds like doodoo, loud and annoying. I know with the piping being 2.5 its going to make it a little louder but bout how much you think the hi flow cat will tone it down?

It will make it a whole lot quieter...and better smelling too. h:

good, its way to loud for my liking right now.......i got spoiled with my old 2.25 mandrel bent piping back to an es oval muffler
