Front Suspension Swap
Yea on the shell I purchased I found the previous owner beat the hell out of the front right lower control arm and the driver side ball joint bolt is stripped, as told it would better just to upgrade to 98-01 integra front suspension. Would this work? If so, what all off the front suspension from a 98-01 would I need other than front lower control arms, ball joints, and hubs?
they use the same as you would use now all that changes are the brake pads, bigger caliper, the rotors, bigger, other than that its all the same. a little bit of extra work for some great payoff, i done it to my 93 coupe, but have done it to a 2000 coupe also.
well lets go at it this way cause it might be cheaper.....the reason i was wanting to go ahead and swap in an integra front suspensions is because the front right lower control arm is bent and needs to be replaced AND the driver side ball-join/knuckle (not sure what that part is called) the bolt that comes down and the a 17mm nut screws up onto it and u put a cotter key in it is stripped out from the ball-join itself....like i could be tightening it or loosening it and the bolt and nut both turn either way....i'm not sure how hard that is to fix but it needs to be fixed bacsue it makes the whole hub bounce going down the road...i'd like to just fix both those things bacsue i'm broke and that seems a bit cheaper to me. If I could just find out what has to be done then i could get it down fast cause if I cant do it one of my buddies at the dealership can fix it.
