Remember your brakes are only as good as your tires. You could have a 12" rotor kit on your civic but crappy tires and your car needs tires to slow down or it's just a waste of money.

Personally Civic braking systems are more than enough to slow down a car. What everyone thinks is that a big brake system will slow down a car, but it's actually the tires.

Heck I've locked up my 00 Civic Si on DOT R tires which means my brakes are more than big enough to slow down the car.

[QUOTE=Running925;3093632]look, i understand that you can do math & that u understand how to read but i own 3 civics.
[QUOTE]

Hey,
I wasn't trying to be a dick, I was just clarifying the fact that u said the ex brakes are more than an inch bigger, when they are not...

I'm not arguing with you, the EX brakes are clearly better, but my question is, why would I spend $$ to upgrade to something only slightly bigger, when I could put that money towards a BBK, which is clearly much better than the EX brakes? This is why I don't think it is a good option for me... If what you are saying is better, than why would anyone use BBK's? Oh, I know to control FADE...

As for Civicsiracer, thanks, but I already know this

FYI, I have 17" 205/40 ZR Toyo Proxes, so my tires have MUCH more grip than the stock tires.
I wouldn't be getting a BBK if I couldn't fit it on my car

And I'm not "Everyone" who thinks that getting a BBK will slow down my car better, as I posted above, I am strictly concerned with FADE, and my stock brakes have WAY TOO much fade...

Obviously the stock brakes are large enough to make the car skid, but they exhibit WAY too much fade... Good brakes = NO FADE

Well, I've been looking and it seems that I can't even get a BBK for my DX, without first spending more $$ to upgrade to EX brakes, then even more $$ to get the BBK for the EX brakes...

I guess I'm just gonna have to get some cross-drilled and slotted rotors, with some better pads. Anyone have any luck or suggestions on what rotors (company) and pads will work good?

Thanks for the help!!

This thread can be closed...

I found out that even though I wanted to get a Big Brake Kit, I can't because they do not make a kit for the 92-95 DX civic's

So, I just ordered some Brembo Cross-drilled and slotted rotors, I'll let ya know how I like 'em...
