coming back to honda with a new toy
well ive wanted to come back to honda for a while cause i hate my cobra and i dont really care for my firebird. ive missed my gsr since the day i sold it and i just got a great deal on a motor that i couldnt pass up. i picked it up tonight, its a jdm b18c5. its got a few upgrades
-inline pro fuel rail
-cam adusters
-ported head
-new head gasket
-dc sport header
now heres the real shocker...i got the motor and trans from my autobody guy for 1300!! so im a happy camper, time to build the block and boost the hell outta it. ill be sticking it in an eg as soon as my firebird sells, and then ill be doing the turbo after i sell the cobra. im gonna build the motor before it goes in the car tho. heres some pics, i wasnt going for photographer of the year or anything.

Im still on the fence about this one man, whats its all back together and running THEN ill consider this a good deal. You still need an ECU btw, so you need to figure out if your going crome,uber, or hondata and get that ordered. Im pretty sure your gonna need an OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness so you can use any of those tuners.
Still to have a B18C5 is NICE!

or it had a blown head gasket, look at the clean spots on the pistons u idiot! Why make claims like that!
Great find man! Congratz on your purchase. Toss a nice set of pistons & rods in there & u'll be able to throw a bunch of boost at it!
The one thing im kinda iffy about is where the Engine Code is stamped it looks like its been grinded down.
If You use a P28 u can keep it obd1 and not have to worry about all the OBD2 Shit that is on there. For everything he got, even if its not a Type R motor its a damn good deal. He is gonna to be replacing all the Internal with Low CR stuff so all he is gonna to use is the Higher flow head.
Like i told u last night u can lick my sweaty left nut :fawk:

actually he got this from a mutual from of ours. He owns a body shop and bought this stuff for one of his employees. the employee never payed him back so he sold it to try to make some of his money back.
