Default d16y7 help please

i have a 92 civic 4 door. and i just swapped a d16y7 into it.
i am very new to hondas, i am used to working on dsm's.
so any help would be much appreiciated.
so here is my problem, the motor is in and the wiring harness is all plugged in, i am not sure what motor the harness is from but everything pretty much matches up except the clips to the 4 injectors, i cut them off and rewired the clips that came with the motor (that was the only part of the wirring harness that came with the motor, the injector wires)
i made sure to match the colors with the original clips
other than that pretty much everything connected fine. after we fineshed connecting everything i tried to start it. it didnt even turn over, it didnt even try.
the battery is good and i really dont know why it wont even ingauge the starter...
if you know why or even if you just have some ideas please let me know how i can fix this.
do i need a new wiring harness?
would i need the ecu from the 96 civic that the motor came out of?

oh sorry, its the d16y5, my bad. and after messing with it today i found out that it does start, i did the ignition bypass (wrench and the starter)
and it started right up, but for some reason the key will not engauge the starter... the car does have a factory security system in it, and a friend of mine says that it could be the reason its not turning over with the key ( i dont have a remote for the system or anything like that)
or could it just be the ignition is bad?

there was a recall for it in 2002, take it to honda and they will replace for free

honda run's vin numbers on that kinda thing. the engine better be similar to what came with the car, or they won't honor the recall

agreed, but usually (depending on the dealer) you can talk them around it.

check your engine grounds, if you didn't put them back on then the starter really doesn't have a grounding point, there for can't complete the circuit when u turn the key.

alright, thanks for the info guys,
its deffinatly not the grounds, because when the kid i bought the car from comes over he touches some wires together and then it dissarmes the security system and the key starts it.
