Build/update the motor and fuel system for boost, trailer it or limp it to your tuner, let HIM decide at what boost pressure level you're best built to run. You haven't even posted what turbo you're thinking about putting on this setup so how can you talk about 18 psi? I ran ~23 psi on my setup, but I was BUILT and very well tuned for my setup. I didn't say "I think I'll go with......... 29 psi". I took it to a tuner, we went to a dyno and we tuned for 10, saw that it could take more and went to 12. I ended up running 12 psi on my first build and learned about boost and what it takes to make a motor that will take more, thus make more power. Build for POWER not for PSI. /soapbox :uhhok:
:werd: man dude you and I are gonna have to have some more chats on AIM lol, ive got to help you get your head wrapped around this. Hit me up and ill help you out

i dunno... i'm now getting it for $1000. i'm gonna get it, drop it in, and get it running. i'll take it t o a tuner with the kit on it... low boost to be safe. dyno, & tune from there... 10 psi, or 27 psi... what works best is what i'll do. looking for top power, streetable, and daily driveable. i'll let the tuner decide what it can handle

sleeved = well... sleeved. he said he had the block filled. since the cylinder walls are floating... they used block fill, and drilled holes in it for cooling. ERL Performance built the motor, and the students (and instructors) @ lincoln tech did the head assymbly

:eh:

if erl built the engine they used darton sleeves which uses a closed deck design as opposed to honda's open deck. the closed deck is only on the very top of the sleeves.

yes... i'm aware. what i'm saying is this... prior to the closed deck, the block was filled. the thing is designed to take a 300 shot of juice. after the fill & drill (which was a custom job), they added the closed deck. this engine was built by ERL for a friend. he basically got whatever he wanted.
