Can you all tell me the long term affects to your engine when running nitrous. I need my car to last me at least 4 years of college. IS there anything you can do to decrease entropy?..thanks

i have run it for almost a year and a half.. NO problems... excesive clutch wear, btu that is any time you are making more power... run higher octane gas, decrease ignition timing, colder plugs, and you could probably run a 50 shot on a motor for 4 years and never have a problem.. OR like ANY power added you go go kaboom on day one.. it COULD happen.. if you do it correctly it is HIGHLY unlikely.. but STILL possible..

can make a LINK to that pic, instead of posting it.. its SUPER wide and makes reading this hard as hell...

since we are stating opinions......I personally think it's the cheap way to win, although dollar wise it isn't cheap at all.

It's only cheating if you tell them when they ask you what you have.

Same as if you have a turbo but you say you are stock.

That maxima btw the guy removed the safety valve to allow better flow.

NOS is bull**** in my opinion... car racing is CAR RACING not CAR racing then hit the NOS and screw at ****en 160 mph instantly... racing should be driver + car, not driver hittin the NOS button when hes loosing

all right some may say its an easy power adder and all but i put it on my civic after i was cruising from atco in my friends gsr and this old civic si races us. we totally had him until BAM he is off like a rocket. We pull over and all he's got is a 50 shot of nitrous. I mean he had some generic CAI and some fuel upgrades but totally stock exhaust and stock header. He said he put a new stock head gasket in before the nitrous. He said he spend like 650 will the nitrous kit and the fuel upgrades and head gasket. And this thing hauled ass.... i mean i have seen spend civic guys spend a grand on intake, headers, exhaust, etc. and not touch my friends gsr. I mean the guy might have been running more than a 50 shot but all the modifications that he did where easily under a grand.

and onces i put it in my EX i was hauling butt too i thought it was the best money i spend on the car

To say that using NOS isn't racing is ignorant. What is the difference between someone spending the 600 bucks for NOS to run a solid 14 sec 1320, or someone who spends 2500 without NOS to do the same? I will tell you the difference, the guy squeezing just made that other guy look like a jackass. Why? Because, running the 1/4 is all about who makes it to the line first.......plain and simple. Same with street racing (which I do not support in any way, shape, or form). When you kick that guys ass, it doesn't matter how you did it.

<edit>
Now, would I be mad if I were at the track and someone in a civic DX with the bottle blew my doors off............hell no! For god's sake he had a bottle. If I had one, the roles would have been reversed, and that guy would know it too. So by the same token, would you get mad when someone in a civic DX with forced induction beat you. You shouldn't......and for the same reason. Does everyone here see what I am getting at? Racing is racing, and you need to decide when to compare apples and oranges and when not to.
<end edit>

BTW, I personally am not a fan of NOS, just so you guys don't think this is coming from a squeezer.
