Default Car died, no turnover & clicking from fusebox

I went to put gas in and after fueling I went to start it and heard nothing. Got out and tapped the starter a few times, got back in and check to see if the radio would go on & it did. For about the last 6 months once in a while When I went to start it the same thing would happen, I would hear consectutive clicks from the fuse box but nothing at all turning over, then I would try again & it would start. This time it would not, also when I put the key in II, it starts clicking by itself & I hear it coming from the passenger side ( maybe under the dash ) too.? I put a new 7.5 fuse in the starter hole & still nothing. BTW I live in Vegas & its about 120. Could the electronice got too hot? I'll try again later when I can get a ride to my car. Let me know what you think guys...

you live in vegas? might be your main relay, does the motor crank but wont start AT ALL? if so that might be it cuz when those suckers get hot they wont work.

Get the battery tested? Autozone does it for free.

I would say starter or battery.

It probably is your starter solenoid, becasue I had the same problem, I had a starter like that for about 2-3 months. I would have to get ready for work about 15 mins early so I could go outside and play with the car to get it to start.

Try taking a hammer or a long piece of metal and hit it with a hammer on the starter. Then try and start it. If the solenoid is stuck, a hit with a hammer will fix it. Then you just need a new starter. But that has worked for me on many cars I have worked on.

Thanks RedlineBoyzCRX, I hit it b4 but not that good, I will try that tonight with a jump to see what happens. Is the solenoid part of the starter, or could I replace just that part? Would it not turn over at all for you either?? Thanks guys
