Big Suspension Problem

OK I was driving down the road and my tire damn near fell off, nice. even better I live in germany. its hard to get parts cheap here. can anyone tell me what happened here, why, what its technical name is and how to fix it??

ok the pic didnt show but its the bolt on the lowest part of the suspesion close to the rotor (its kinda hard to explain. maybe someone can tell me how to put the pic on here.

Lower ball joint is what it sounds like.

that would be my shot in the dark. We need alot more info starting off with front or rear tire, where exactly is the bolt located, ect. Better yet a picture.
