Default Proper Jacking and Supporting Technique

Hey Everyone, I've searched for information but being the paranoid person I am, I figured I better ask... What's the best way to jack and support?

I've checked my service manual, but it didn't say the best area to place axle stands (I figure it's the scissor jack points).

I know a brick/block/rock should be placed behind the wheels remaining on the ground to prevent rollback, but are there any other recommendations/precautions anyone has?

I'm sorry this is such a noob question, but I figured I'd better ask before royally screwing myself up.

Thanks

I bent my front tow hooks (OEM) jacking up my car from them!!! Your manual probably says to use the jack supports right behind the front wheels and right before the back ones.

However, I believe this is also where jackstands are supposed to be placed. So when I'm using them, I jack from right next to the jack points. I make sure to get the jack pad on the frame, and have had no problems SO FAR.
