Default odd radio / keyless entry

im having some problems w/ my radio/keyless, first off the radio's vol. control is crapy as hell, it doesnt work right at all increasing the vol. sometimes goes down, other times it never works, it takes upwords of 3 min. to get the vol. adj. to where i like it. my other problem is w/ my keyless entry, it works in the same way as my radio, half-fast. one day it will work like a champ, others not at all. i relise that the keyless is controled by the radio unit, im wondering if this is common or not. any information would be great. thanks in advance.

not a real common problem, but I'd recommend getting a different stock deck. Sounds like that's where the problem lies.

if this is an aftermarket radio that is installed in your car then you might
not have gotten the right wiring harness when the radio wus installed
either by a friend or a shop. if it is an aftermarket radio try using the wiring
harness made for civics with keyless entry, if you got it installed at a shop
take it back and tell them to look at it.

if its the factory radio in the car then id say its time to swap it out for an
aftermarket one, unless the dealer wont charge you to replace & install a
new factory unit.

good luck,
hope this helps
