This has to be the dumbest question I've ever seen on here. We should have an entrance exam. Not necessarily for car knowledge, but for at least some level of intelligence. I'm not one to flame, but you brought it upon yourself with the "I forgot who I was talking to" line. The people on this site are some of the most knowledgeable, courteous people I've run across in the automotive community. Go start your own site for pee stains.

Its called variable valve timing.
