Default Knock in engine, have suggestions on what to do!!

I have a civic ex96 with a SOHC Vtec engine, the D16YZ8. I have a knock that is really bothering me, maybe someone can suggest some things it might be. The knock is steady when the car is turned on, but when I start to drive, or increase the rpm, the knock starts to increase. The oil is at its required level. I am hopeing its not a piston, and I kind of think its a valve. If anyone can give me advice on what it could be I would gladly appreciate it. Thank you!!

bearings? take off your oil pan....grab each piston rod...and wiggle. if there is any play then you found your problem. also take off the rod caps and look at the bearings. refer to a manual for service.

Get you a Haynes or a Chilton manual. Drop the pan, and replace your Rod bearings. Not too hard.
