Revving but no speed
I've been pumping at 76 gas station since i got the car (Jan). Today i tried Shell since it was cheaper. Pumped 10 gallons of regular.
When i started to drive, i notice i lost power. I would step on the gas and acceleration would be slow. I have auto trans btw.
Example: I was going 60 @ 3k and revved to 5k and still was at 60.
Then on the freeway, i stepped on the throttle all the way, and it would jump from 3k to 6k and my acceleration was really slow.
Heard vtec engage but didn't really feel it.
Could it be the gasoline? (I never notice it with 76 fuel but i also never full throttled it.)

thanks for all the suggestion, going to check it all out this week. i replace the fuel filter last month. i want to try and use up all the gas and try 76 again. see if it helps or not.
btw, before pumping Shell i ran the tank to almost empty where i did have one bad start up before heading to the gas station.

Well first things first, you have an auto and it's already not going to have blistering acceleration. Secondly, I would be hesitant about replacing the tranny fluid if it hasn't been changed for a long time. If the tranny has the old fluid in it and the clutches are bad, then the friction material from the clutches would be in the fluid allowing the tranny to be able to shift gears with the old tranny fluid in it. If you put new fluid in then you also remove the friction material in the old fluid from when you drained it and the tranny won't shift because of the fact that there isn't any friction material left on the clutches or in the fluid. So, I would check your trans fluid and see if it's good or not. This is also a good way to see if you need a new trans when you replace the fluid and the tranny wion't shift.
