Ok i juss sold my old motor and about to buy myself a Jdm b18b LS for 500 bucks ok i kno i have to buy the Tranny with linkage, axles an ecu and also mod the Eng Harness and a jumper harness from OBD2 to obd 1. what else would i need ? it is going in a 98 honda civic HB
Also if anyone has a DIY on what i have to do with the IVAC cuz i kno it has to be modded also the Engine harness anyone kno which goes where what needs to be extended PLEASE help before i buy this motor if it worth it.
honestly i would go with a simple 98 single vtec cuz its drop right in and honestly the ls has only about 5 hp more than the ls then all you gotta buy is the vafc to hook up vtec good luck

B18B has 13HP more than a SOHC Y8 but it makes worlds more torque and a better powerband.
make sure you have the b series dizzy, alternator and starter on hand obd2 and plus u can always go vtec later..... but save ur money and go k series lol

i had a single vtec in a bubble with simple mods and beat ls hatches all day so wow 13 hp. you can get that out of a simple exhaust im trying to save him the hassle and the cheaper method to go
well they do make cams for cheaper then that or junk yard turbos, but ls will lead to vtec wich will lead to cams and springs just stay d series and save for the k it will save u money in the end

Those LS hatches must have been piss slow or they had some shitty drivers for a SOHC 1.6 to beat it :dunno:

You must have had a freak single cam. A B18B EG will run low 15's high 14's. No Z6 or Y8 SOHC will run that in a hatch with bolt ons.
Woahh argument about Singles and B18 i was juss wondering if anyone had a DIY on what wires i would have to Extend and the IVac also if i would have to do a Cable to Hydro swap to this motor i have no idea if it was hydro or cable here is a link to a pic of the Motor http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...k/DSCF1463.jpg
