So I ran the ECU test on my car and Immediately it did one long pause and nothing after it. It didnt even continue the one long pause. I know code 1 is oxygen content....could this be a likely reason why my RPMs at idle are ridiculously low? They shoot up at about 2000 when I first start the car and then with the more it warms up it goes down to about 250 to 300...

thanks fr any help

You're car wouldn't idle at 250-300. That bottom line is 500 so it's idleing about 600-750. You could have a clogged idle air control valve. When the car is cold and that is either bad or clogged it can either give you a really high idle or it can bounce up and down. The one long pause could be code 10 which is the intake air temperature sensor on your intake manifold. When mine was bad I just got really shitty gas mileage, no bad idleing.

how do you tell code 1 from 10? wouldnt my oxygen sensor affect my idle?

iacv is intake air control valve. intake air tempature is totally diffrent. should be a white ( two wires coming out)plug on your intake manifold and not behind your intake manifold like the iacv would be.

the oxygen sensor would not effect idle since the o2 is in loop mode when you first start the vehicle while it is cold.

if its the IAT it would be a pretty easy test then, eh i need to go buy a ohmmeter, shit that wouldnt cause my RPM issue though would it?
