Default Need help replacing headlights

I bought brand new black housing projector headlamps for a Civic '03 coupe and I believe I need to take off the bumper to take off the originals and to put the aftermarket ones on but I've never done it before . I have replaced tail lights before and that's very easy but can someone tell me step by step how to replace headlights? And does it require a lot of strength to take off bolts or whatnot? Just curious because I'm a female and I'm not strong...if it does require a lot of strength then I'll make sure I'll have one of my guy friends with me while I'm doing this, hehe. Thank you!

I've never looked into having to take the whole bumper off to change the lights. I have a stock 93 Si and have stockers

I found this:
"1 screw under each fender in front of tires, then about 6 screws under the bumper...open the hood, unscrew the headlight screws....pop out the little pop in screws and slide it off.....ur all set"

Thats for a 99-00 si and was in response to your same question but for a 2002 EX, so i'm pretty sure that goes for you too!

And why the name preludegirl if you own a civic lol.

Most Civics are the same:

There are 5 pop-up retaining screws when you open the hood right in the middle. Then there are 1-2 pop-up retaining screws in each fenderwell. Then about 2-4 screws under the car. Take all those off and the bumper should pop off, or come off. The bumper only weighs about 20lbs or so. It's just cumbersome.

Then there should be 3-4 screws holding the headlight to the frame of the car.
