Default Auto, stick.

I'm selling my auto 5gen hatch for a 5spd and I test drove 3 civics and the stick had a lot of play on all 3 cars. For instance, while in first gear I was able to move the shifter side to side almost as if it were in neutral. Is this normal?

Thats odd, I don't think any car I've driven did that when the car was actually in gear.

you can also get a polyurethane shift bushing. It will help with some of the play from what i hear.

:werd: the stock bushings wear and there's alot of play in the shifter. I got mine from neuspeed.com for $15 way back in the day. They're still nice and firm with minimal play from side to side
