Tha Mod Is Done! Pix!
theres not really a step by step that I could go over, this was all "fly by wire" if ya know what I mean. manufacturing some of the needed parts was a pain, I just used stuff I had laying around which most people wont have. theres alot of ways to do this, I might not have done it the easiest way but im picky about the little things (perfectionist).
Here are some basic steps though:
1. Remove clock numbers, and caps at lower half of board (first pic)
2. make cheap circuit board to hold the relocated switches
3. extend the timer curcuits from the faceplate and controls (i used an IDE cable) 16 wires.
4. Position everything (counter and buttons) where it fits best and hot glue it all
5. test it before puttin it in the car
Note: The solder points are smaller than the ones on a P28 ECU so unless you are really good at soldering, dont attempt this mod.
