Radiator Upgrade question
Since it's becomming summer and my car's engine runs hot. I was wondering if a radiator really cools off the engine bay. I'd like to reduce heat soak as summer is approaching for the extra summer driving, so just wondering if a Fluidyne or any other performance radiator would make a noticeable difference or should I just get a tranny cooler and call it a day?
I'm only asking since my car runs better when cool.

ebay radiators work fine. and get a slim fan for like 50 bux and a fresh thermo from th eparts store. flush ur radiator, refill 50/50, use a bottle of water wetter and ull be ready to rock
I have a 160 degrees thermostat and running water and Redline water wetter, but I know if I run it hard for around 2-3 hours doing sprints and drag racing I find myself having to add about a 1/2 a quart oil and also the coolant level on the overflow decreases some. there's a slight kink in the coolant tube going into the IM.
I notice my car runs pretty well cold on a startup below normal operating temperatures. It makes me wonder if this could have anything to do with valve clearances.

does this sound like the right thing to do? or should I just say fuq it and throw a test pipe on my ride, which would remove the O2 sensor and throw the car into Open Loop which would be like startup, and just tune the fuel to compensate using wideband? would that work better than close loop tuned on a obd2 car?

You don't need a new radiator on a stock motor.
I am running my OEM radiator (149k miles on it) with a set of slim pusher fans and a 70/30 water/coolant mix with water wetter and my ECT is under 200* F in hot weather.
