so the mechanic took it apart......... gues what......

jiffy lube put in almost double the transmision fluid when i had it flushed... causing to much pressure on the seal.....

gonna cost 450 to fix

that sucks...lesson learned: never take car to jiffy lube, ever...all i hear are bad stories from them. should make jiffy lube pay for it if you can.

That explains it. And that sucks. Small claims court maybe?

I take it you didn't keep the recipt either. Bummer I will never go to a quick oil change garage, this is another horror story to add to my list.

welllll....... so the mechanic looked at the inside...... and my bearings had collapsed on themselves aloooooooong time ago but it still drove fine...... talk about honda building a strong trani..... but from the cracked seal theres oil all over my clutch...........


so hes looking into getting me an si tranny to replace it with.

My clutch was covered in oil but it only had 1k on it so I cleaned it and haven't had any trouble. I'm assuming your clutch was getting pretty old so it was a good time to replace it anyway. RIP old tranny. Hello Si tranny...
