projector conversion
ok here's the deal, i like the way projectors look, i really like the halo projectors, i realize the light output is horrible. i want the projector and halo look, but i want good light output. i was wondering if anyone knew how to convert the H4 harness to a 9006 what would i need?
i believe d2s and 9006 share the same slot to plug in to your headlight... my intentions are to obtain some bmw/audi projectors units, pop out the ones in the halo projectors and replace them. this will offer a higher quality projection of light. but i would need to eliminate the h3/h1 setup and fit in a halogen 9006 which is cheaper than an hid d2s, anyone follow?

I have got the halos and personally i think they are pretty decent. Comperable to the stock output.

H3 Super Plasma, They look pretty damn cool through the projectors, almost like the audi Hid color, beam is pretty bright, but not anywhere near hid brightness, IMO its better than the stock housing, more direct beam.

There is no way I would pay over $90 for a halogen type bulb even if it was made by PIAA. For a little more the the PIAA Super duper hyper xenon powered Plasma you can get quality D2S HID bulb.
If you want quality lighting it can be obtained. Just put some 9003 Silverstar into your stock housing and you'll get quality light for $50.

hey thanks a lot for your help! do you know what would be involved to do a highbeam? so, what i'll do is cut off my H4 socket, obtain 2 9006 sockets, re-wire them back on, obtain some 9005 silverstars cut-off the tabs and put them in the sockets. that sounds easy enough. i just might have some difficulty w/ the high beam setup. Does anyone know if there is enough space to fit a 9006/9005 bulb in a projector? thanks
