B16A2 into 99 Civic EX (d16y8)
Thanks for all the help.. I appriciate it.. But there is no need to argue with each other.. I stated in the very first post it was a b16a2 from the del sol. And in 1993-1995 the del sol had the option of a B16a2/3 engine.

Confused..... I have a two wire plug coming out the distributor. I have no idea what it's for.. It has a think blue wire and a thick black/yelllow wire.. It's on a two plug connector.. Can anyone give me any insight on what it's for.. It's the only plug i have left before the engine is all wired up

the blue wire is a signal for the tach i believe and the black yellow wire is for the coil and is also used for the ignition i believe.... why dont you have this plug? why cant you just plug it in with your harness?
My 99 EX doesn't have the plug on it.. I don't know why not.. I'm gonna look at the pinout on the ex's cpu and the del sol's to see if i can figure it out.. Do you know by any chance where it would plug.. Will i need to get a external coil for it?? I don't know.. it's just a problem i ran into this weekend
your 99 ex should have one plug. but 9 wires correct? well the obd1 distrubutors run two plugs......one has seven wires...the other has the 2 wires. (blue and yelow black) now what i think you are trying to do is to put a obd1 distrubutor onto an obd 2 engine? this is fine...but you have to rewire the wires. since both styles have a total of nine wires.......you should be able to wire it in...either hardwire with no clip....or pick up a obd2 izzy clip...or obd 1 engine harness clip. all the nine wire colors match perfectly from an obd1 to obd2 dizzy. make sense?
makes perfect sence.. The b16a distributor has two connectors.. 7 and 2 wires.. while the ex wire harness has 1 connector .. 9 wires.. So all i have to do is either cut the connector off the B16a harness and rewire it to the ex harness.. if i'm understanding it correctly.. right??
