Default Pace Setter Exhaust System

So I installed a new pace setter cat-back in my car, and didn't adjust it correctly when I first put it in, so the tail pipe is to far to the left and is rubbing on the bumper. I tried adjusting the muffler section, but that isn't the problem. The intermediate pipe needs to be adjusted. It needs to be slid back, but now even when I loosen the nuts, it won't slide out of the pipe that connects to the cat. I'm working in a tight spot without a lift, so I can't get good leverage. Any suggestions?

That's what I'm saying - I have a jack, but trying to yank that shit on my back isn't working. And if I take out the whole pipe, then the gasket on the cat is probably not gonna work once I bolt it on again. A matter of fact when I loosened the muffler, I caused a leak. The clamps are tight, but I can feel exhuast coming from the pipe. This shit is real frustrating. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Bronx? No wonder its a tight spot.

My gf's Pace Setter comes apart too easily at the junction you're talking about... STRANGE. I had to weld the summabitch together to stop it.

Try "jiggling" it back & forth while pulling apart... that should do it.

Stick a piece of pipe in the tailpipe, and use it to bend it to the right a little.
