Sylvania silverstars...
Stay away from the cheap, bluish lights.
Not only are they illegal(not DOT approved) but they tend to not last very long.
I have heard the same thing about the silverstars, but from my expericence i have had no problems with them, i guess it is hit or miss.

I'd steer clear of the blue "HID" bulbs as you cannot see the road as well. Compared to standard halogen bulbs the light output of these bulbs are worst. Even more so when it rains (if it's raining and it's dark, it'll seem as if your headlights aren't even on).

the eurodezigns 8500k h4 bulbs claim that they are DOT approved and have a lifetime warranty, but they may just be cheezy bulbs. I want a blue bulby bulb, does silvania offer that?

What do you mean you can't see the road as well? Have you ever been driving on the highway and u can see someone with hid's in the background coming up on you? Then when they are passing you, you can see their headlights extend way further than your halogens, they light up the road way better....ive seen it. Not quite sure what you mean by that?

If it's a car that has a TRUE HID system, then yes.

That's why I said "HID" bulbs (notice the quotations). You're not planning to get a true HID system, you just want blue bulbs. And I'm telling you that the blue bulbs perform worst than standard halogen bulbs.

Let me venture a guess. You've been on eBay a lot, huh?

yeah ive been on ebay, right now i have piaa plasma gtx bulbs, they are only rated 4500k or something and they are supposed to have a violet tint. But you can barely notice, and they really aren't that bright alone, but i have them paired up with some yellow foggers that adds a lot more light.

Just stick with what you have. You're just throwing money out by buying these blue or HID bulbs. If you're not willing to take the time and money to do a true HID conversion (do a little research, it's a lot more involved than just buying an HID conversion kit), buying bulbs is just going to nickel and dime you to the poor house.

Definitely stick with the setup you have. Blue bulbs don't do anything but look ricey.
